Brighton lawmaker will serve as an assistant majority floor leader

State Rep. Ann Bollin, of Brighton, was elected today to serve as an assistant majority floor leader for the 2021-2022 Michigan House of Representatives legislative session.

“It’s an honor to serve on the House leadership team and an even greater honor to be elected by my colleagues in the Legislature to do so,” said Rep. Bollin. “Over the next two years, we will continue to work to make Michigan an even better place to live, work and raise a family, regardless of the struggles presented by the ongoing COVID crisis.”

The assistant majority floor leader’s duties traditionally include assisting the majority floor leader in directing activities on the House floor.

First elected in 2018, Rep. Bollin is a member of the Appropriations Committee and serves as vice chair of the Subcommittees on Agriculture and Rural Development and Higher Education and Community Colleges. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Subcommittees on General Government, Health and Human Services, Joint Capital Outlay, and Transportation.

Bollin represents the people of Brighton, Genoa, Green Oak, Hamburg and Putnam Townships, the City of Brighton and the Village of Pinckney.
